It all started when...

Komrad Communications was founded in Toronto, Ontario, as a music marketing and artist management agency in 1997 and relocated to Vancouver, BC, two years later.

Nearly thirty years later, it is now the privately held parent company of Waste Island Records, a boutique indie label featuring the back catalogue of 1980s Montreal alt-pop favourites This "Blue Piano" and alternative rock trio A Different Brand of Noise; and Waste Island Music, a music publishing venture that owns or administers approximately 200 copyrights.
