It all started when...
Komrad Communications was founded in Toronto, Ontario, as a music marketing and artist management agency in 1997 and relocated to Vancouver, BC, two years later.
Twenty-plus years on, it is now the privately held parent company of Waste Island Records, a boutique indie label featuring the back catalogue of 1980s Montreal alt-pop favourites This "Blue Piano", and Waste Island Music, a music publishing venture that owns or administers approximately 200 copyrights.
